Ashley Allen is a Senior Accountant and certified QuickBooks Expert . She has close to a decade of experience streamlining business functionality with the overall goal of increasing clients profits. Her professional experience spans across industry size and complexity as she has worked with federal government grants, nonprofit development, and profit maximization in small business. Ms. Allen specializes in financial crisis management and the financial establishment of new organizations. In her career, she has recovered over a million dollars in lost revenue for her clIents.
She will help BLR understand the concerns of small business owners, maximize financial contributions, and ensure the organization’s financial solvency.
Dr. Baldwin is the CEO of Integrated Care and Behavioral Medicine, LLC. He is also a Research Associate with The Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has over 15 years of experience in healthcare management, Medicaid, Medicare, government,program administration, organizational transformation, and innovations. He received his Doctorate Degree in Behavioral Health from the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University. In 2019, he graduated from the from the UCLA Andersons School of Management competitive Johnson & Johnson Health Care Program. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., and has a passion for expanding and increasing health and care in the rural south for those in poverty.
David is the Sr. Manager, Merger & Acquisition (M&A) Integration Strategy at The Boeing Company. In this role, he leverages relationships with corporate development, enterprise functions, and IT to lead the strategy development in support of deal planning, due-diligence, and integration for targeted merger and acquisition activity. He holds multiple academic degrees including a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Howard University and Master’s degrees in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, and Project Management. David is also passionate about STEM education and increasing the number of minorities in technology, which is displayed by his participation in the National Society of Black Engineers.
Cleo is the Chief Advisor at Black Men’s Xchange and the CEO of Amassi Wellness & Cultural Centers. He is a social architect who coined the term same gender loving (SGL) to describe romantic relationships for African descendants of the same sex. He is a prolific writer and produced an educational documentary I AM A MAN: Black Manhood & Sexual Diversity. Mr. Mango is also a social commentator who appears regularly on Ronald Martin Unfiltered. He is passionate about the wellness of the Black community especially in relation to Eurocentric constructs. He will help BLR not to duplicate oppressive Eurocentric structures in our mission to harness Black Power.
Dr. Travis Martin currently serves as the Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life at Northwestern University. He most recently attained his PhD in College Student Counseling and Personnel Services from the University of Georgia. Dr. Martin has done work in residence life, university Development, student conduct, student leadership & service, assessment and institutional diversity. As an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., he has held several state and national leadership positions. He will help BLR connect with Blacks in higher education at traditional colleges and universities as well as at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
Sam L. Morris II is the President of the BayNorth Community Development Corporation an organization committed to the full development of people in Solano County and throughout the state of California. He has over 15 years of experience in business and specializes in low income housing and development. He is the Senior Pastor of the BayNorth Church of Christ where he has served for more than 10 years building from a membership of 20 to 500. He will help BLR understand the low income housing challenges in the Black community, how to work with local municipalities to slove problems, and how to attract corporate donors.
